       In the well illustrated article the problems of the operated roofs execution are analyzed and the new approach to ensure their reliability realized for the first time in Russia during the construction of the Multifunctional complex «Tsar's Garden» Building 1 is described.

       The suggested technical solutions may become basic in projecting reliable waterproofing of not only operated roofs but also that of covering underground trade complexes and car parking areas, the above-lying surface of which envisages the improvement with permanent greenery or partial erection of aboveground structures and buildings.
